In Guangzhou dialect, ka([口架]) is a kind of sentence-final particle in the end of sentence, which is used frequently and in a very rich tone. It mainly expresses such emotions as emphasis, doubt, blame, warning, and complaint and so on. From the perspective of pragmatic effect, ka([口架]) plays an active role in mediating discourse in different contexts.
