汾西方言宕江摄字的语音层次具有区别于汾河片中原官话和并州片晋语的典型特征。汾西方言宕江摄的所谓"文读"其实是本地形式,所谓"白读"其实是受汾河片中原官话影响而形成的。

The phonetic levels of the character of Dangjiangshe, a dialect in the west of Shanxi province, assume some typical features that distinguish them from the Kuanhua in the central region of the Fen River and the Shanxi dialect in the Bingzhou area. They are in fact a combination of the local and the Kuanhua forms.
