HONG You-feng is the founder and pioneer of library cause in China.This paper reviews and discusses Hong You-feng s important library activities and achievements in academic achievements,library education,library management and practice in order to carry forward and inherit the rich academic and spiritual heritage left to us by modern and contemporary library scholars and promote the research of contemporary library science and academic thoughts.
