中共十一届三中全会上的“向后看”与“向前看”--中国特色社会主义道路探源

“Looking Backward”and“Looking Forward”at the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the CPC: On the Socialist Road with Chinese Characteristics

中共十一届三中全会是党和国家历史上的伟大转折,是中国共产党人实行改革开放、开辟中国特色社会主义新道路的光辉起点。从一定意义上说,发生这一变化的关键在于陈云和邓小平先后提出了"向后看"和"向前看"两个重要口号。陈云提出"向后看"导致会议主题发生重大变化,邓小平提出"向后看是为了向前看",为实现历史转折廓清了道路,其《解放思想,实事求是,团结一致向前看》的讲话成为开辟新道路的宣言书。

The Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the CPC marked a big transition in the history of the nation and the party and it was the brilliant beginning of taking the Socialist Road with Chinese Characteristics.In some sense,the key to this change can be found in two slogans-“looking backward” and “looking forward”-one by Chen Yun and one by Deng Xiaoping.The slogan “looking backward” put forward by Chen Yun led to major changes in the theme of the plenary session; Deng Xiaoping’s slogan “looking backward is to look forward” cleared the way for the historical turning point.Deng’s speech “Emancipate the Mind,Seek Truth from Facts,and Unite as One in Looking to the Future” declared the opening of a new path.
