An Analyisis of Russian Media and Public Attitudes Towards China

乌克兰危机以来,随着以美国为首的西方国家对俄罗斯进行经济制裁和政治孤立,俄罗斯外交转向东方。俄罗斯对华舆情出现一些新变化、新动向。总体而言,俄罗斯对华评价越来越友好。但对中国依赖,特别是经济依赖加深,以及对中俄经济合作的心理预期过高等多种因素导致目前俄罗斯民众对中国存在疑虑和防范心理,在中俄投资合作、旅游和劳务移民领域表现尤为突出。在此背景下,中俄应继续加强人文领域的交流与务实合作,夯实中俄关系的社会民意基础;采取切实措施加快推进中俄经济合作,尤其是中俄区域经济合作;政府高层应就两国关系中的敏感问题坦率交换意见,以增进相互理解,消除疑虑,加强战略互信,进一步深化中俄全面战略协作伙伴关系。

Since the Ukraine crisis,Russia is facing the economic sanctions and political isolation,and its diplomacy is turning east.There are some new changes and trends in Russian public opinion towards China.In general,Russia evaluates China more positively.But some factors,such as dependence on China,especially economic dependence and the high psychological expectations of Sino-Russian economic cooperation resulted in Russian people’s doubts of and defensive mentality towards China.Such mentality manifested in Sino- Russian cooperation in investment,travel and labor migration particularly.In this context,China and Russia should continue to strengthen human and cultural exchanges and pragmatic cooperation for strengthening the public support for Sino-Russia relations;taking concrete measures to accelerate Sino- Russia economic cooperation,especially regional economic cooperation;senior government officials should have a frank exchange of views on sensitive issues in bilateral relations so as to enhance mutual understanding and strategic mutual trust,removing misgivings and further deepening China-Russian comprehensive strategical collaborative partnership.
