高职图书馆拒绝社会服务的观念批判

Criticism of the Concept of Rejecting Social Service in Higher Vocational Libraries

国内高职图书馆普遍面临资源利用率低下的困境,大力开展社会服务是美国社区学院图书馆走出此类困境的有效途径。国内图书馆理论界存在两种反对高校图书馆开展社会服务的观点,一是认为高校扩招导致图书馆服务压力增大,开展社会服务会加剧校内读者与文献利用之间的矛盾;二是认为高校图书馆是不稳定的准公共产品,社会化服务是不可行的。这两种反对高校图书馆开展社会服务的观念在实践领域得到了广泛的回应,国内高职图书馆的社会服务比率仅达到6%。文章从逻辑及事实两个层面对这两种观念进行了分析和批驳,并提出了拒绝社会服务是因高职管理层职业精神的缺失所引发的非职业化的选择。

Higher vocational libraries are generally faced with the predicament of extremely low resource utilization,and vigorously developing social services is an effective way for the American community college library to get out of this predicament.There are two voices in the theoretical community of libraries that oppose the development of social services in university libraries.One is that the expansion of college enrollment has led to increased pressure on library services,and the development of social services will aggravate the conflict between readers and the use of literature in schools;The pavilion is an unstable quasi-public product and social service is not feasible.These two concepts of opposing social library services in university libraries have received a wide range of responses in the field of practice.The social service ratio of domestic vocational libraries has only reached 6%.The article analyzes and refutes these two ideas from the two aspects of logic and facts,and proposes that the rejection of social services is a nonprofessional choice caused by the lack of professionalism of the management of higher vocational colleges.
