Objective To observe and compare the effect of laparoscopic and open surgery in the treatment of rectal cancer. Methods A total of 100 patients with rectal cancer admitted in our hospital from March 2015 to March 2018 were selected as subjects. They were divided into observation group and control group by double blind random method, each groups had 50 cases. The patients in the control group were treated by traditional laparotomy, and the patients in the observation group were treated by laparoscopic surgery. The operation condition, postoperative transfusion rate, analgesic utilization rate and recovery of the two groups were compared. Results The bleeding volume, incision length, operation time, postoperative blood transfusion rate and the use rate of analgesics in the observation group were significantly less than those in the control group, and the recovery time of bowel sounds, hospitalization time and ambulation time were significantly shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total number of lymph node dissection between the two groups(P >0.05).Conclusion Laparoscopic surgery is superior to traditional open surgery in the clinical treatment of rectal cancer patients, and has the advantages of less trauma, shorter operation time, less intraoperative bleeding, shorter hospitalization time, fewer complications, faster postoperative recovery and so on.It is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
