Since the beginning of 2018, Baotou has made great efforts and implement a series of policies and measures to support the development of the rare earth industry based on its comparative advantages in rare earth resources, technology and human resources. From January to September this year, Baotou produced 627,000 tons of rare earth new materials, up 26.9% year-on-year. Among them, there were 16,027 tons of permanent magnetic materials, 1,726 tons of hydrogen storage materials, 7,415 tons of polishing materials, 6, 987 tons of catalytic additives and 595,000 tons of rare earth alloys.
