特征因子是期刊评价中比较重要的评价指标,它基于PageRank的算法原理,计算过程复杂,导致特征因子的数据具有封闭性,不利于指标研究和改进。分步解析了特征因子的计算方法,并使用Excel演示计算了38种图书情报类期刊的特征因子值和论文影响力值。Excel计算特征因子的过程透明,能观察到中间数据的变化,操作性强,能够为类PageRank指标研究提供工具和方法支持。

The Eigenfactor is an important evaluation index in journal evaluation. It’s based on the principle of PageRank algorithm,and its calculation process is complex,which leads to data closure of Eigenfactor,and is not conducive to index research and improvement. This paper analyses the calculation method of characteristic factors,and calculates the value of characteristic factors and the paper impact value of 38 kinds of library and information science journals by using Excel. In Excel,the process of calculating the Eigenfactor is transparent,and the change of the intermediate data is observed,and it has strong operability,and also provides tools and method support for the research of the like PageRank index.
