盖茨比是20世纪具有世界影响的美国现实主义作家菲茨杰拉德的成名之作《了不起的盖茨比》中的主人公。盖茨比的伟大之处在于其对爱情矢志不渝的追求,以及其在短短3年之内便积累了巨大财富的非凡成就。然而,盖茨比一生所追寻的不管是爱情还是财富都是被金钱玷污后的产物。这些所得的变质成为导致盖茨比产生蜕变的重要原因。其在人生追求路上思想意识的狭隘直至扭曲,更是致使其采取了错误的处世态度与行为方式,进而加速了其从可爱到可悲的惨痛蜕变。因此,在复杂的社会环境中,个体只有在人生的道路上不断向积极方向调整自身的思想意识、处世态度和行为方式,不断修正自身品格,才可能最大限度地凸显人生的真正价值。

Gatsby is the hero of The Great Gatsby written by F.S.Fitzgerald,the American Realist writer who had a far reaching influence to the World.The Gatsby’s great lies in his vow to adhere to his love chosen course and great achievement in accumulating a fabulous fortune within short three years.However,no matter the love and the fortune which were pursued by Gatsby’s life were the products blemished by the money.These deteriorated gains were the critical reason to his transformation,furthermore,he adopted wrong thinking and conducting manners due to his narrow mind and even seriously distorted ideologies in his life’s seeking,which has speeded up his bitter transformation from a lovely boy to a tragic person.Bearing in mind the lessons of the Gatsby,human being should unceasingly adjust one’s ideologies and ways of thinking and conducting towards active orientation and amend one’s moral character in order to make the real value of one’s life apparent in great extent.
