Research on the Influence of Literature as an Extensive Reading Programme in English Classes of China

Reading is one of the most vital skills for human beings to acquire knowledge,and literature reading can be an efficient way for L2 students to learn English in three dimensions of learning.Throughout this essay,the term " three dimensions " will refer to cognitive dimension of knowledge and skills,the emotional dimension of feeling and motivation,and the social dimension of communication and operation by Illeris (2003).English has established its status of world language for many years,which is vital for human beings to communicate and transfer knowledge,so how to carry out efficient English education is very important for many countries,especially for countries which use English as a second language.
