基于外交对等考量下的外交新词英译研究——以十九大报告为例

English Translation Study of Diplomatic Neologisms from a Perspective of Diplomatic Equivalence: A Case of Reports of the 19^(th) National Congress of the Communist Party of China

摘要 外交新词服务于外交活动,具有政治性、平等性、宣传性特点。基于"功能对等"这一传统的翻译原则,结合外交新词的特点,从外交对等的角度,分析十九大报告中外交新词的英译,从选词、翻译策略等方面探讨外交新词的英译策略。 Diplomatic neologisms which are political,equitable and propagandistic,serve diplomatic activities.Based on the traditional translation principle of“Functional equivalence”and the characteristics of diplomatic neologisms,this paper analyzes the English translation of diplomatic neologisms from the perspective of diplomatic equivalence,and discusses the English translation strategies of diplomatic neologisms from the perspectives of word selection and translation strategies.
