In this paper,the history of the world conference on sampling and blending and the Pierre Gy sampling theory′s generation and development have been introduced.This paper focus on explaining the meaning and application of Pierre Gy formula and sampling theory,as well as the promotion and effect of chemometrics.Meanwhile,the development of sampling theory also promotes the application of process analysis technology,and accelerates the development and application of all kinds of advanced sampling and blending equipment.As the world's largest commodity importers and consumers,China has pressing needs for sampling theory and practice applications.BGRIMM introduces the 9th world conference on sampling and blending into China will promote and enhance the level of sampling theory research and practice in China,consequently will accelerate relevant aspectsto provide better services for country commodity trading and inspection.
