“Adaptation and Change”——An Analysis of the Concept of “General Changes” in The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons

魏晋南北朝时期,文学评论家刘勰在其著作《文心雕龙》中提出"通变"的概念,历代学者对"通变"观的理解持不同观点。基于此,详细解释"通变"的概念,从"通变"观的溯源《周易·系辞》和韩愈的古文运动主张两方面深入地阐释印证"通变",即"会通适变"的真正含义。

In Wei-Jin and the Northern and Southern Dynasties,Liu Xie,a literary critic,put forward the concept of“general changes”in his book The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons,and scholars of all ages held different views on the this concept.This paper explains the concept of“general changes”in detail,and expounds its true meaning from two aspects:the origin of I Ching Xici and Han Yu's proposition of ancient prose movement.
