民族团结进步创建源自长期历史实践,是党和国家推进民族团结进步事业的重要举措和有效载体,随着时代发展不断丰富和拓展。本文系统梳理了民族团结进步创建的发展历程,全面介绍了民族团结进步创建示范区和示范单位建设情况,重点阐述了党的十八大以来,民族团结进步创建在强化顶层设计、提高质量和覆盖面、加强民族政策宣传教育、注重培育示范典型、严格依法治理、加强理论研究等方面的实践举措,分析当前民族团结进步创建工作面临的不足和挑战。就如何做好新时代民族团结进步创建,围绕贯彻落实党的十九大精神,坚持"中华民族一家亲,同心共筑中国梦"的总目标,提出了创建工作的不足和创新发展的路径。

The promotion of ethnic unity and progress,which originates from a long-term historical practice and develops with the times,is a significant measure and effective carrier through which the Chinese Communist Party and the country advance the cause of ethnic unity and progress.This paper reviews the process of the promotion of ethnic unity and progress,fully briefs on the construction of demonstration zones and units,and focuses on the measure of strengthening top-level design,improving the quality,expanding the coverage,raising awareness about ethnic policies,paying attention to promote demonstrations and models,governance by law strictly,advancing the theoretical studies etc.The paper also analyzes the inadequacies in the work and challenges to face.And for the work of the promotion of ethnic unity and progress for a new era,focusing on the implement the guiding principles of the 19th National CCP Congress,upholding the overarching goal of“all ethnic groups of the Chinese nation coming together to realize the Chinese Dream”,the paper proposes a way of the innovative development.
