中国古典园林在世界园林中独树一帜,内容博大精深,关于古典园林的研究成果丰硕,但从符号设计的角度进行研究较少。从造型元素中最常见的圆形与方形符号的内涵与特点出发,深入分析其所代表的意蕴及哲学内涵,及其在古典园林艺术中的应用形式,通过方与圆这个切入点探寻园林艺术与符号设计、传统文化之间内在本质联系,拓展古典园林艺术的研究思路。

Chinese classical gardens are unique in the world gardens, and their content is profound. The research on classical gardens is fruitful, but few studies were from the perspective of symbol design. The author's study starts from the connotation and characteristics of the most common circular and square symbols in the modeling elements. In-depth analysis of the meaning and philosophical connotation it represents, as well as its application in classical garden art. Through the entry point of square and circle, the intrinsic essential relationship between garden art and symbolic design and traditional culture was explored, and the classical garden art research ideas are expanded.
