In literature, spatial narrative not only refers to physical space, but also contains psychological space of characters in texts, even writers’.Physical space links with psychological space through human senses.Based on theory of spatial narrative, this paper investigates the relationship between spatial narrative and post-alienation in Philip Roth’s short story Eli,the Fanatic. The protagonist Eli,plays the suction of link through his senses of sight, hearing and smell, which profoundly reflects the theme of Jewish problems of self-identification and irresistability of fate in the 1950s post-alienation period.
