通过对吴宓日记中所记载其晚年经济生活的梳理,可再现老一辈学人正直、淡泊、节俭、与人为善的优良品德,以及重庆地区当时的物价和消费水平,尽可能地接近、还原建国初期知识分子的真实生存状态,以达到了解、认知那个时代的目的。

The paper sorts out Wu Mi's economic life in his later years,reconstructs the moral character such as integrity,stoicism,frugality,and kindness of the older generation of intellectuals as well as the commodity price and consumption level in Chongqing at that time,in an attempt to come close to the real living conditions of intellectuals at the early days of new China and to have a better knowledge and understanding of that era.
