Xue Shiyu was an official,poet and famous educator in the late Qing Dynasty.In the past,researchers focused on his political achievements and contribution to education.In fact,according to relevant diaries and letters,we can see that he used to like drinking,attach importance to feelings,do not often write articles,be good at writing couplets,and other details in his daily life.These aspects show that Xue Shiyu was a bright person with high and clean character,as well as open and board mind.So we have a more comprehensive understanding of him.
