“赵汤论战”视角下美国华裔文学中中国传统文化的书写形态研究

A Study on the Writing of Chinese Traditional Culture in Chinese American Literature from the Perspective of “Zhao Tang Controversy”

"赵汤论战"是美国华裔文学史中重要的文学现象。其文学价值不单是其讨论的具体内容,更在于以二者为代表的美国华裔作家所体现的创作理念和在中国传统文化改写过程中呈现的不同的身份定义。美国华裔文学的发展大量运用中国传统文化的现象,其中"赵汤论战"展示了对中国传统文化认识差异,赵汤作品中中国传统文化书写形态的差异,揭示美国华裔作家创作的矛盾性与复杂性以及在创作手法上的差异和创作理念上的分歧,力求展示一个更加多元化的美国华裔文学。

“Zhao Tang Controversy” is an important literary phenomenon in the history of Chinese American literature. Its value is not only the concrete content of the discussion, but also the creative idea embodied by the Chinese-American writers as well as different definitions of identity presented in the process of the rewriting of Chinese traditional culture. In the development of Chinese American literature, traditional culture elements get extensively used, and “Zhao Tang Controversy” can demonstrate differences in understanding Chinese traditional culture. This paper reveals comparing their similarities and differences of identity reconstruct, tends to reveal the contradiction and complexity of Chinese American writers’ writing as well as their differences in creating techniques and concepts, and strives to show a more diversified Chinese American literature.
