摘要
Gastric cancer is the fourth most common cancer and remains the second leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. The five-year survival rate is poor due to late diagnosis of most patients and unsatisfying clinical treatment.Effective methods to improve the gastric cancer survival would include an earlier diagnosis, useful predictors to identify which patients will respond to chemotherapy, and more specific targets and treatments.Metabolic reprogramming is a hallmark of cancer cells.Numerous studies have shown that gastric cancer is associated with increased aerobic glycolysis, lipid anabolism, and amino acid catabolism.Besides providing more energy to support the uncontrolled proliferation of malignant cells, metabolic reprogramming also produces a large number of metabolites that are involved in oncogenesis,as well as cancer progression, invasion and metastasis.Targeting molecules involved in the abnormal metabolism associated with cancer may help reverse chemo-resistance,promote tumor death and increase the therapeutic efficacy of existing drugs.
