On Xi Jinping's View on Mass Work in the New Era and Its Guiding Role in Colleges and Universities

群众工作是党的根本性工作。习近平非常重视群众工作,也善于做好群众工作。围绕为人民谋幸福、为民族谋复兴两大奋斗目标,习近平提出了内容丰富的新时代群众工作观点,这主要包括坚持人民群众的主体地位、切实保障和改善民生、重视青年群众工作、创新网络群众工作、重视基层群众工作、善于用法治方式开展工作等6个方面。习近平新时代群众工作观点在尊重学生主体地位、创新工作方式方法、开展法治宣传教育、加强共青团建设和加强课程思政建设等方面为高校工作提供了重要指导作用。

Mass work is the fundamental work of the Party.Xi Jinping attaches great importance to mass work and is good at doing it well.Focusing on the two major goals of seeking happiness for the people and rejuvenating the nation,Xi Jinping has put forward a view of mass work in the new era,which mainly includes upholding the dominant position of the people and securing,improving the people’s livelihood,attaching importance to the youth mass work,innovating the network mass work,attaching importance to the grass-roots mass work,and being good at carrying out the work with the rule of law.Xi Jinping’s view of mass work in the new era has provided important guidance for the work of colleges and universities in such aspects as respecting the main position of students,innovating the working methods,carrying out publicity and education on the rule of law,strengthening the construction of the Communist Youth League and strengthening the ideological and political construction of the curriculum,and so on.
