On the Significance of Chu Culture Elements to the Construction of National Image from the Spiritual Dimension

随着综合国力日益强大,我国在越来越多的领域赢得了国际社会的认可,但国家形象却始终被有意无意地歪曲、误读。文化形象是国家形象的重要组成部分,因此,有必要从文化角度研究提升国家形象。对地域文化的充分挖掘和传播有利于构建国家认同,楚文化作为长江文化体系中的一个重要分支,具有浪漫性、开放性、创新性等精神特质。当代中国工匠精神倡扬的专注、创新在价值内涵上与楚匠精神高度吻合,发源于楚地的老庄哲学中倡导的"天人合一"的自然观和人与自然和谐发展的自然观相呼应,楚文化所蕴含的"和"的思想更是成为我国开展国际交流和合作的重要原则。

With the ever increasing of comprehensive national strength,China has won the recognition of the international community in more fields.However,the national image has still always been misrepresented and misunderstood intentionally or unintentionally.Cultural image is an important part of the national image.Therefore,it is necessary to study and enhance the national image from a cultural perspective.The full excavation and dissemination of regional culture is conducive to the construction of national identity.Chu culture,as an important branch of the Yangtze River cultural system,has the spiritual characteristics of romance,openness and innovation.The concentration and innovation spirits advocated by the contemporary Chinese artisans are highly consistent with the spirit of Chu.The natural concept of"Harmony of Nature and Mankind"which was developed in Laozi and Zhuangzi’s thoughts in Chu region is right in line with the natural view of harmonious development between mankind and the nature.The"harmony"thought contained in Chu culture has become an important principle for China to carry out international exchanges and cooperation.
