“Power Forum”:Born following the “NATO” missiles

1999年5月,以美国为首的"北约"军机悍然轰炸我国驻前南联盟大使馆,3名中国公民被残杀,在全国上下激起了强烈的抗议浪潮。人民网在第一时间发布了消息,并顺势决策开办了"强国论坛"。这是中国国家主流媒体开办的第一个时政论坛,使得中国网民可以利用网络表达他们对国内外重大事件的看法,为党和政府开通了一条可以直达民意的通道,让世界舆论能够及时听到中国民众的呐喊和呼声。"强国论坛"得到中央高层的高度重视和积极支持,促进了我国新媒体建设和媒体融合进程。

In May 1999,the"NATO"military aircraft headed by the United States bombarded the Chinese Embassy in the former Yugoslavia.Three Chinese citizens were killed and a strong wave of protests provoked throughout the country.People.cn lost no time in releasing the news,and decided to start the"Power Forum"with the tendency.This is the first political forum run by China's mainstream media,enabling Chinese netizens to use the Internet to express their views on major events at home and abroad.It opens a channel for the party and the government to reach public opinion,and let the world’s media hear the public opinion of Chinese people.The"Power Forum"attracted high attention and active support from the top management of the central government and promoted the process of new media construction and media integration in China.
