Huang Entong was not only a competent official in the field of official administration,but also a famous literary and historical master.He also made an in-depth study of agricultural production technology.After his retirement,he attached great importance to agricultural production,compiled a variety of agricultural special books,wrote a large number of agricultural poems and articles,and realized the unity of knowledge and practice.His works on agronomy included not only the adapted former literature,but also the summary of his own practice and the folk experience.He made remarkable achievements in emphasizing and popularizing new crop varieties.Despite some historical limitations,his achievements in agriculture deserve a place in the history of agronomy in China.
