The Image of Luoyang in Song Poetry——A Case Study of the Luoyang Literary Group in the Song Shenzong Era

古都洛阳作为西京,是北宋最为繁华的城市之一,也是宋代文人理想的诗意栖居地。宋神宗时期,一大批反对新法的旧党名流聚居于此,写下了大量歌咏洛阳的诗歌,颇值得关注,其中代表性的诗人为邵雍、司马光、范纯仁、文彦博、范祖禹。他们的诗歌涉及洛阳的气候条件、地理位置、风土民情、园林建筑、历史遗迹、自然景观等方面,展示了一幅幅生动的城市画卷。

As the Xijing, the ancient capital Luoyang is one of the most prosperous cities in the Northern Song Dynasty and the poetic habitat of the literati in the Song Dynasty. During the Song Shenzong period, a large number of old celebrities who opposed the new law gathered here, and wrote a lot of poems eulogizing Luoyang, which deserves attention. The representatives of these poets include Shao Yong, Sima Guang, Fan Chunren, Wen Yanbo, and Fan Zuyu whose poems cover Luoyang’s climate, geographical location, folk customs, garden architecture, historical sites, natural landscapes, etc, presenting to readers vivid pictures of the capital.
