On the Fusion of Individual Will and the Emotion of Groups in Ai Qing's Poetry

在1930年代诗坛,艾青非常罕见地既保持了强烈个人意志,又成功地抒发出群体情感。原因在于:首先,艾青的书写对象与时代高度吻合,通过对书写对象的"本体关注",实现对客观世界的丰富呈现,使得诗歌避免流于口号化和抽象化,获得了坚实的现实品质;其次是对自我和世界的发现,"高峰体验"使作品更为博大、宽广,突破现实功利层面,获得超越时代的普遍适应性;再次,童年创伤所形成的受难情结,使诗人与受难的国家国民产生深刻共情,因此能够成功地抒发群体情感。

Against the background of the 1930s Chinese poetry,Ai Qing not only kept distinctive his individual will,but also expressed the emotion of groups.His success owed to the following three respects.First of all,Ai Qing’s poetry coincided with the age his lived in.The“focus on noumenon”in his poetry made it possible to present the objective world,which was conducive to avoiding sloganization?and abstraction and adding to the poetry the realistic quality.Secondly,his poetry went over the utilitarian dimension and obtained universal adaptability beyond the times by discovering the self and the world,which was a“summit experience”making his poems more profound and extensive.Thirdly,his childhood trauma left to him the suffering complex.Therefore,the poet found great empathy to the suffering of the nation and its people and thus were enabled to express the group emotions.
