Freshman seminar is an important way to improve the training quality of the undergraduate in university.It is aim to help freshman to adapt to the new study environment as soon as possible and help them to get some professional knowledge in their research field,as well as improving their learning enthusiasm.This article analyzed the teaching objectives,knowledge system,teaching method and assessment method of the freshman seminar of solid waste&sustainable development.Combined with teaching practice,it also discusses the teaching effect of this course and where to go at the next step.This practice can provide reference for the similar freshman seminar.
