From the Imaginary to the Symbolic——An Analysis of Lacan's Mirror Stage

作为拉康的理论起点,镜子阶段揭示了自我起源于主体对镜像的认同。在镜子阶段,主体实现由想象界向象征界的过渡。镜子阶段还揭示了自我的虚幻性和建立在想象基础之上的妄想狂式的主体知识,以及他者对自我的异化及其引起的侵凌性的想象根源和象征调停。

As the starting point of Lacanian theory,“the mirror stage”reveals the I originates from the identification of subject with mirror image.During mirror stage,the transition of the subject from the imaginary to the symbolic is realized.The mirror stage also reveals the illusory nature of the I and the paranoiac knowledge of the subject based on the imaginary basis,and the alienation of the other and aggressivity thus caused and its imaginary root and symbolic mediation.
