Discuss the Model Choice of the Poets in the Song Dynasty

有唐诗在前面,宋代诗人在创造宋诗新风貌的过程中,对唐代诗人进行了自觉的选择,他们经历了向白居易、贾岛、姚合、李商隐、李白、韩愈等人学习的过程。最后,从道德评判的角度,杜甫忠君、爱国、恤民的高尚情操为宋人所赞许;从艺术评判的角度,杜甫在诗歌题材、艺术技巧的创新为宋诗发展指明了方向,杜甫成为宋人学习的最高典范,反映了宋代诗人的理性选择。

In the front of poetry of the Tang Dynasty the poets in the Song Dynasty consciously chose the poets of the Tang Dynasty in the process of creating new style in the Song Dynasty.They had experienced the process of learning from Bai Juyi,Jia Dao,Yao He,Li Shangyin,Li Bai,Han Yu,and others.Finally,they regarded Du Fu as a model of study from two angles of moral judgment and art judgment.From the angle of moral judgment,poets in the Song Dynasty praised Du Fu’s noble sentiment in loyalty to monarch,patriotism and compassionating people from the point of view of art judgment,Du Fu’s innovation in the theme of poetry and art skills pointed out the direction for the development of Song Poetry,which reflected the rational choice of poets in the Song Dynasty.
