互联网时代大学生应用机器翻译及其译后编辑策略

Machine Translation and Post-translation Edition by College Students

机器翻译作为计算机科技的成果之一,特别是人工智能技术被引入机器翻译领域后,智能机器翻译的准确性和效率得到明显改观,受到大学生的普遍欢迎和广泛使用。但是大学生对机器翻译的过度依赖和盲目信任也引发许多问题:从语言种类说,机器翻译不是万能翻译器,不能让所有语言都达到同样的翻译水准;从语言结构说,机器翻译对文学、长句翻译表现乏力,达不到文学再创作的要求;从专业领域应用看,大学生使用机器翻译专业文章错误频出,没有引起大学生的足够重视;从翻译软硬件看,系统故障和原语言环境中的口音和噪音等因素都会导致翻译失败。因此,大学生应用机器翻译时完成的作品,必须做好译后编辑,由易至难进行练习,逐步达到信、达、雅的翻译标准。

The introduction of the AI technology has made machine translation one of the most important achievements of the computer science and technology.The intelligent machine translation has been widely welcomed and used by college students.Nevertheless,the college students'overuse of and blind trust in machine translation have also caused problems:Machine translation,which is not a universal translator,cannot make all languages reach the same level of translation;machine translation,which is unavailable in literary and long sentence translation,cannot meet the requirements of literary recreation;frequent professional errors caused by machine translation have not attracted enough attention from college students yet;and factors such as system failures and noises from the original language environment can easily fail translation.College students,when using machine translation,should gradually practice post-translation edition to reach the translation standard of faithfulness,expressiveness and elegance.
