摘要 王文斌教授长期从事语言学研究和外语教育研究,现任北京外国语大学校长助理,博士生导师,教育部人文社科重点研究基地"中国外语与教育研究中心"主任,国家语言文字工作委员会科研机构"国家语言能力发展研究中心"主任,国家社科基金会议评审专家,教育部高等学校英语专业教学指导分委员会副主任委员,中国英汉语比较研究会外语教育技术专业委员会会长,中国英汉语比较研究会认知语言学专业委员会副会长。曾就读于北京外国语大学、上海外国语大学、复旦大学、英国牛津大学(Oxford University)和加拿大麦吉尔大学(McGill University)。主要研究方向为认知语言学、语言对比与语言教育、词汇语义学。近日,我们有幸对王文斌教授进行了采访。王教授从他个人的学术背景谈起,以他目前所从事的英汉对比研究、认知语言学研究和外语教育学研究为轴线,谈出了自己在学术方面的感悟,指出无论是语言本体研究、语言对比研究还是语言教育研究,具备国际视野、研究国外理论虽然不可或缺,但是更要立足中国实际,不仅使国外理论服务于国内学术发展,更要让我们自己的理论在国际学界有其一席之地。所以,作为学者,需要积淀理论的同时,还需要提升理论自觉和学术自信,大胆进行学术创新。 Professor Wang Wenbin has kxig been undertaking the research of linguistics and foreign language teaching. He iscurrenty the assistant president of Beijing Foreign Stucies Unrv^rsity, PhD supervisor, director of National Research Centre for Foreign Language Education which is Vie key re-search base of humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of Education, director of National Re-search Centre for StatB Language Capacity which is the research institution of StatB Language Com- mission, commitlae review expert of the National Social Science Fund of China, deputy director of ELT Advisory Board under the Ministry of Education, chairman of Foreign Language Teaching Tech-nology Committee of China Association for Comparatrve Studies of English and Chinese, vice - presi-dent of Cognitive Linguislcs Committee of China Association for Comparatrve Studies of English and Chinese. Professor Wang' s eciucationdl background includes the fdlCMving unrversities he once stud-ied at: Beijing Foreign Stucies Unrv^rsity, Shanghai International Studies University, Fudan UnrversH ty, Oxford Unrv^rsity in the United Kingdom and McGill Unrv^rsity in Canada. His main research in-terests are in cognitive linguistics, contrastrve stucfies of languages and language education and lexi-cal semantics. Not long ago, we were ( are) honored to have a chance to interview him. Starting from his own research background, he talked about his ideas and thoughts about the core topics of contrastrve study between Engitsh and Chinese, cognitive linguislcs and foreign language education study. He emphasized Ihat whatever research we are doing ( it is definite^ necessary to Viink global-ly, but it is more important to act locatty. That is to say, it is cmdal to ground our study on the Chi-nese reality. Not only should tie theories developed by Western countries serve the research within our country, but our cwn theoiy should make conlribulion to the international research. Therefore, while constmcting theories, researchers are expected to raise theoreticdl self-consciousness, and to build up the self-confidence of doing research and make academic irmcvation bokfy.
