广东省独立院校英语类专业学生批判性思维倾向调查

Research on Critical Thinking Dispositions in Independent College Students of English Studies in Guangdong Province

本文以广东省独立院校英语类专业全日制本科大学生为研究对象,引用Facione提出的批判性思维品质七大维度:开放思想、寻求真理、分析能力、系统化能力、自信心、求知欲和认知成熟度作为主要标准,研究分析独立院校英语类专业学生的批判性思维倾向程度,并结合目前英语教学现状来分析学生批判性思维缺乏的原因,以求对各独立院校英语教学改革和学生思辨能力的培养做出一定的参考指导作用。

The present study samples students of English studies in an independent college of Guangdong Province, and investigates their critical thinking skills in terms of Facione’s seven-dimension framework, which includes open-mindedness, truth-seeking, analyticity, systematicity, self-confidence, inquisitiveness and maturity. The study combines the results of this investigation with contemporary English teaching, and endeavors to dig out causes to students’ lack of critical thinking, hoping to give some insights to the reform of English teaching reform in independent colleges and developing students’ critical thinking abilities.
