Since the 18th Party Congress,President Xi Jinping has on different occasions given penetrating,comprehensive and systematic statements on what kind of ideological and political work is needed in colleges and universities and how to carry it out.His statements on such questions is a big part of his thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era.This paper sums up and elaborates on President Xi’s statements on college ideological and political work in hopes of providing guidance and reference for colleges and universities to enrich and advance their ideological and political work for the new era.
