The Strategic Connectivity and Challenges between the Belt and Road Initiative and “Dutertenomics”: In the case of Industrial Cooperation

"杜特尔特经济学"是菲律宾杜特尔特政府在经济改革方面提出的总规划,与"一带一路"倡议之间具有诸多契合之处。中菲两国在基础设施建设、农业、通信、金融、旅游等产业方面存在诸多合作的机会,但也面临一些挑战。双方需要加强政府间的沟通,促进民间交流,增进合作中的互利共赢,妥善解决南海问题,实现两国战略的对接和产业合作的稳定发展。

"Dutertenomics" is the general plan put forward by the Philippines Duterte government in the economic reform, which has many similar views with the Belt and Road Initiatives. There are many cooperation opportunities between China and the Philippines in infrastructure construction, agriculture, communications, finance, tourism and other industries, but there are also some challenges. Both parties should strengthen intergovernmental communication, promote non-government exchanges, enhance mutual benefits and win-win results in cooperation, solve the South China Sea issue properly, so as to achieve strategic connectivity between the two countries and smooth the industrial cooperation.
