目的论视角下中国特色时政用语英译策略

On the English Translation Strategies of Political Terms with Chinese Characteristics from the Perspective of Skopos Theory

汉斯·弗米尔的目的论原则包括目的原则、忠诚原则和连贯原则。中国特色时政用语中通常存在形式结构对称的短语、数字类缩略语、国家领导人的新提法新表述、富有传播效力的表述、重复等语言表述现象,译者在英译中国特色时政用语时可以采用目的论翻译原则,以准确传达原文信息,使读者容易理解,达到译文的预期功能。

The Skopos theory from Hans. Vermeer includes the principles of purpose, loyalty and coherence. Generally, the political terms with Chinese characteristics exists in some phenomenon, such as the symmetrical phrases form, figures abbreviations, new definition or expressions of the state leaders and spread effectively, repetitive language. Therefore, it is suggested that the English translation of political terms with Chinese characteristic can be used by Skopos theory, in order to accurately convey the original information and understand easily for reader, to achieve the expected function of the translation.
