Restoring The Book of Songs to Its Original Status to Approach Confucius' Mind——On Ji Ben's View of The Book of Songs

季本是明代《诗经》学家,著有研《诗》专著《诗说解颐》。季本认为秦火之后,汉儒对《诗经》做过增补,致使《诗经》失去原貌,他的研究主要以恢复古本为目的。考察季本"正经"的指导思想、诗旨的阐释及诗歌编次的讨论,探究其在"正经"过程中建构的解《诗》体系,从而系统地梳理季本的《诗经》观。

Ji Ben,a scholar of The Book of Songs in the Ming dynasty,was the author of Shi Shuo Jie Yi.Ji Ben thought that the Confucianist scholars of the Han dynasty had revised The Book of Songs after the Burning of Books and Burying of Scholars in the Qin dynasty.From then on,The Book of Songs was quite different from the original one.Ji Ben therefore tried to restore The Book of Songs to its original status.By probing into Ji Ben’s guiding thought of restoring The Book of Songs to the original status,his interpretation of poetic meanings and the discussion of the order of the poems in The Book of Songs,the paper attempts to explore Ji Ben’s interpretative system of The Book of Songs constructed in the course of his efforts to restore The Book of Songs to its original status,with a view to systematically combing Ji Ben’s view of The Book of Songs.
