A Marxist Response to Skepticism

怀疑论质疑我们认识世界的能力,危及现有的知识体系。知识论语境主义作为一支反怀疑论的重要力量,认为怀疑论虽然难以被直接驳倒,但在日常语境中它的认知要求是不合理的。顺此思路,马克思主义可以对怀疑论假说给出更好的回应。根据马克思主义的实践真理观,怀疑论假说无关真与假,意义有限,而且在非实践的纯思维领域,马克思主义的立场也比怀疑论立场更符合理性的要求。因此在马克思主义看来,怀疑论假说并不是一个难题,怀疑论只有作为中立的批判者时才有意义。

Skepticism doubts our cognitive ability of knowing the world,and imperils the existing knowledge systems.As an important force of anti-skepticism,epistemological contextualism insists that the cognitive requirements of skepticism are unreasonable in common context,though skepticism is hard to be directly refuted,Marxism can give a better response to skeptical hypothesis.According to the Marxian view of practical truth,skeptical hypothesis has limited significance as it is unrelated with truth or falsehood.What’s more,Marxian is more reasonable than skepticism in the non-practical sphere of pure thought.Therefore,skeptical hypothesis is not an aporia,but something useful when utilized by a neutral critic.
