A Study of Xi Jinping's People-Centered Thought

党的十八大以来,以习近平同志为核心的党中央在将党的群众路线贯彻到治国理政的实践活动中,逐步形成了习近平以人民为中心思想。追溯根源,马列主义人民观、历届中共领导人的人民观和中华传统文化的民本思想是习近平以人民为中心思想的理论基础。习近平以人民为中心思想主要包含人民地位观、根本宗旨观、民生福祉观、奋斗目标观与人民评价观五个层面,是马克思主义人民观在新时代的创新性发展,其基本原则与核心理念是新时代中国特色社会主义发展的方向。

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core has gradually formed the People-centered Thought on carrying out the Party’s Mass Line in the practice of governing the country. Tracing back to its roots,the Marxist-Leninist view of the people,the people’s view of previous CPC leaders and the people-based thought of traditional Chinese culture are the theoretical basis of Xi Jinping’s People-centered Thought. Xi Jinping’s People-centered Thought mainly includes five aspects: the View of People’s Status,the View of Fundamental Tenet,the View of Well-being of People’s Livelihood,the View of Struggle Objective and the View of People’s Evaluation. It is an innovative development of Marxist People’s View in the new era. Its basic principles and core ideas are the direction of the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
