沉重的少年往事,悲凉的历史记忆,是莫言从事文学创作的出发点,但他并不以一味地倾诉苦难为旨归,而是将淤积心底的个人记忆转化成富有象征意味的文化记忆,赋予其强大的艺术想象力和精神创化。莫言的创作经验包含:"残酷叙事"与精神超越、想象力对童年故事的改造、对社会现实的批判与对文学本性的坚守、对人物灵魂的揭示与拷问。这对中国文学普遍需要解决的"苦难体验如何转化为精神创新的资源"的难题,具有积极的启示作用。

Heavy events from his youth and sad historical memory constitute the starting points of Mo Yan’s literary creation. However, he is not aimed to pour out suffering,rather he turns personal memory into symbolic cultural memory, endowing it with artistic imagination and spiritual creation. Mo Yan’s creative experiences include “cruelty narratives” and spiritual transcendence, reconstruction of childhood stories by imagination, critique of social reality and adherence to the nature of literature, and revelation and interrogation of characters’ souls. It provides inspiration for the problematique “transforming experiences of suffering into resources for spiritual innovation” that Chinese literature needs to solve.
