State-growth and Political Conformity in Modern Times:Western Experience and Chinese Localization

现代国家形态肇始于西方。自中世纪以来,西方的国家成长经历了复杂多变的历史演进,先后完成了民族国家构建和民主国家构建,其不同阶段的政治整合机制也发生着变化。西方的国家成长与政治整合在很大程度上体现了现代性的一般规律,对当代中国的政治整合有着相当的启示意义。当然,我们也需看到中西方历史背景的差异性,并进行在地化探讨。

The modern state form originated from the West.Since the Middle Ages,Western countries have undergone complex and changeable historical evolution and have successively completed the construction of nation-state and democracy-state along with the changeable political conformity mechanisms at different stages.The experience of the state-growth and political conformity of the western countries in a large extent reflects the general law of modernity,which is of great significance to the political conformity of contemporary China.Of course,we also need to notice the differences of historical background between China and the West during the process of localization.
