时间的空间化理论考察

Reflections on Theories of Time Spatialization

时间的空间化一直是语言学界颇具争议的热门话题,围绕时空映射本质和内容,历史上形成了三大主要理论派别:隐喻构念观、结构相似观和时空一体观。结合具体事例分析述评三大时空映射观,提出我们的时间空间化基本主张:时间认知在本质上具有空间性,时间的整体结构和部分内容源自空间,基于"结构映射"和"内容映射"形成时间的隐性空间化和显性空间化,其空间化程度受制于时空属性和相关认知机制。

The spatialization of time has been a controversial topic in linguistics and witnessed three major theories:Metaphorical Structuring View,Structural Similarity and Space-time Integration,which are different in terms of the nature and content of space-time mapping.These three theories are first introduced and evaluated with relevant data,and then several theoretical points concerning the spatialization of time are proposed,which hold that temporal cognition is spatial in nature and the whole structure and partial content of time originate from space in nature,both of which jointly contribute to the implicit and explicit spatialization of time,respectively via“structure mapping”and“content mapping”.The mapping of temporal spatialization is constrained by attributes of time and space as well as human cognition.
