新农合对农村劳动力就业选择的影响——基于CHNS数据的实证分析

The Effect of New Rural Cooperative Medical System on Farmers' Employment Behavior:An Empirical Analysis Based on CHNS Data

利用CHNS2004-2011年的四次调查数据,实证分析了新农合对农民就业选择的影响。结果表明,新农合会降低参合农民非农务工的概率,提高其选择纯农务和兼业的可能性。进一步考察新农合作用于农民就业选择的机制发现,新农合的经济效应能够显著地增加农民选择兼业和纯务农的可能性;新农合的健康效应增强农民选择兼业和土地依赖性较强的老年农民选择纯务农的意愿。

With the help of the classification criterion provided by the Ministry of Agriculture for famers’ employment,this study examined the effect of New Rural Cooperative Medical System(NCMS)on different employment choices of farmers based on the data of CHNS from 2004 to 2011.The results revealed that NCMS have significant negative effect on the probability of farmers’ choice for non-farm employment and have significant positive effect on the probability of farmers’ choice for pure and part-time agricultural work.And further study for the mechanism of the effect find that economic benefits caused by NCMS can improve the probability of farmers’ choice for pure and part-time agricultural work,and the probability of part-time agricultural work and old farmers’ choice for pure agricultural work can also be affected by the health effects caused by NCMS.
