西方戏剧翻译研究的五个核心问题

On Five Core Issues of Drama Translation Studies Discussed by Western Scholars

戏剧翻译研究虽受忽视,但自20世纪70年代以来,西方的翻译研究者在戏剧翻译领域却颇有建树。文章采用文献研究的方法梳理了西方译界数十年来在戏剧翻译研究领域重点关注的五个核心问题,即戏剧翻译的概念、类别及其目的;戏剧文本、舞台文本及其译本和译者;戏剧翻译特点;戏剧翻译策略;戏剧翻译研究视角。对比分析了相关学者的主要观点,对于国内学者研究戏剧翻译具有很好的指导意义。

Despite the inadequate attention paid to drama translation studies,western translation researchers have made considerable contributions to translation studies on dramatic works since 1970s.In this paper,we use the method of literature research to review 5 core issues of drama translation studies discussed by western scholars:the definition,category and purpose of drama translation;dramatic text,theatre text and their translations and translators;the characteristics of drama translation;the strategies of drama translation;the perspective of drama translation studies,etc..A detailed comparison and analysis of the major views of some western scholars is also given in the present paper with a view of providing directions and guidance for domestic scholars in their future drama translation studies.
