It is a perfect and rich way to protect the intangible cultural heritage of the world to record Huanxian Daoqing Shadow Puppetry in the form of general spectrum. This paper systematically discusses the characteristics of Huanxian Daoqing Shadow Puppetry in the aspects of rhythm, beat, and monologue, etc. Based on the practice of the score recording, and supported by the theory of ethnomusicology, the application of the descriptive score in the score recording of Daoqing Shadow Puppetry in Huanxian county was illustrated from the perspectives of the rhythm, sentence reading, dialect adjustment and other aspects of the lyrics in a specific cultural background.
