Organic education, the fruit of post modern philosophy, enlightens the college English teaching innovation. Organic education,in favor of horizontal and vertical connection among the educational elements, the connection between individual development and knowledge acquisition, throws light on college English teaching innovation. The paper discusses how the organic education idea promotes the students’ development and knowledge acquisition with some teaching cases.
