The Influence of Transcontinental Railway on Western Tourism and Its Enlightenment Significance

通过回顾19世纪中叶到20世纪初美国横贯大陆铁路的修建,探讨了美国西部旅游的发展,从推动了西部旅游产业化、促进了旅游吸引物的增加、赋予了西部旅游文化意义等方面分析了横贯大陆铁路对西部旅游业的影响。基于此,探讨了美国西部地区的铁路旅游业的发展对中国西部高铁旅游业发展的借鉴意义。

By reviewing the construction of transcontinental railway in the United States from the middle of the 19 th century to the early 20 th century,the study discussed the development of tourism in the west of the United States.The influence of transcontinental railway on the western tourism was analyzed from the aspects of promoting the industrialization of tourism,boosting the increase of tourist attractions and giving the western tourism cultural significance.Based on this,this study explored the development of railway tourism in the western United States and its enlightenment significance for the development of high-speed rail tourism in Western China.
