Based on historical materialism,general historical view and scientific methodology,this paper explores the era demand in international winter sports,Chinese winter sports and winter Olympics.This paper elaborates the emergence,development and evolution of international winter sports,Chinese winter sports and winter Olympics,as well as the relationship among winter Olympic culture,social-economic development and human needs.The result reveals the modern winter sports technology,the modern winter Olympic culture,the integration and evolution process of the eastern and western cultures,and the influence of the winter Olympic movement on the modern Chinese winter sports.It explores the influence and role of China on the future winter Olympic movement.The purpose is to clarify the essential characteristics of the development of the winter Olympic movement and to provide a new perspective for examining and understanding the modern winter Olympic movement.
