The traditional manual printing and dyeing technology is the product of manual era which is aesthetic with complex process.People's living standards have been improved and aesthetic requirements have been diversified with the improvement of the society.New requirements have been proposed on the pattern,color and modelling of traditional manual printing and dyeing technology.The application of traditional printing and dyeing art in cotton fabric is analyzed by investigating the development background of printing and dyeing technology.The application techniques and characteristics of traditional printing and dyeing art in China are introduced.
