Compilation of Yang shiqi's Wenyuange Bibliography and Bibliography of Ming Government Collections

杨士奇等编纂《文渊阁书目》是以文渊阁藏书的收贮位置与顺序为书目著录顺序,而非以文渊阁所藏之书的书籍形态为准,其目的是"永远备照",以便于对文渊阁藏书的查阅,而非目录学视域下的部类划分。故而,《文渊阁书目》不可避免地要恪守文渊阁以"国朝"为尊与维护政权统治作用为搜访、收贮图书的原则,这也是对明初钳制异端维护政权统治的直接反映。

The Wenyuange Bibliography is a government collection bibliography which recorded the books collected in Wenyuange in the early Ming dynasty in the form of“archives”and“account books”.Yang shiqi and other compilers took the storage location and order of Wenyuange books as the basis of bibliographic description order,rather than the form of the books,which aimed to provide“permanent documentation”to keep access to the books of Wenyuange,rather than the division of branches from the perspective of bibliography.Therefore,the Wenyuange Bibliography unavoidably abided by the principle that Wenyuange regarded“the dynasty”as the respect and the role of maintaining the regime as the book searching and collection rules,which were direct responses to the suppression of heresy in the early Ming dynasty to maintain the regime.
